Duckling Crochet Kit – SECONDS

This beautifully-presented duckling crochet kit contains everything you need to make one mallard duckling.

It is identical in every way to my full-price duckling crochet kit, except that each mini skein of the gorgeous merino yarn, rather than being one single length of yarn, will be made up of two or three separate lengths. You will receive exactly the same amount of yarn (in fact actually more to allow for joins) as in my full-price kit, but it will be in several indeterminate lengths.

This kit is ideal for ideal for experienced crocheters who have no problem joining yarns as they work.

Using up odd lengths of yarn too short for my regular kits is a great way for me to reduce waste while offering you a saving!

Ducking kit contents:

• 20-page fully-illustrated pattern printed on recycled paper
• organically-farmed British merino wool
• organic cotton yarn for eyes, beak and feet
• 100% natural sheep’s wool for stuffing
• 3.5mm bamboo crochet hook (optional)
• blunt-tipped yarn needle

Everything is smartly presented in a reusable box.

The pattern is worked with a 3.5mm (US size E-4) crochet hook (or the size needed to make a compact crochet fabric with the given yarn). You have the choice of including a lovely bamboo crochet hook by Pony if you’d like to try one.

The finished duckling will be approximately 10cm (4inches) from head to tail.

The kit and packaging aims to be as eco-friendly as I can possibly make it:

• pattern – 100% recycled, recyclable.
• box – 70% recycled, reusable and recyclable.
• ball bands, box labels – 100% recycled paper, recyclable.
• tissue – 100% recycled, recyclable.
• business cards, tags, etc – handmade from greeting cards, cereal packets, etc, recyclable.

The wool stuffing is a natural product and comes in a variety of sheepy colours. It is scoured, clean and carded, but may include the odd bit of straw or leaf.

🟨 This kit is best suited to a confident or intermediate crocheter. If joining new yarn lengths in the middle of a pattern is not something you find easy, you’d be better off with my regular Duckling Crochet Kit.
