Apple and Pear Crochet Kit – SECONDS

This plastic-free crochet kit contains everything you need to make a pair of fruit.

It is identical in every way to my full-price Apple and Pear Crochet Kit, except that each mini skein of the organic cotton, rather than being one single length of yarn, will be made up of two or three separate lengths. You will receive exactly the same amount of yarn as in my full-price kit (in fact I allow more for the additional joins), but it will be in several indeterminate lengths.

This kit is ideal for ideal for advanced beginner or experienced crocheters who have no problem joining yarn as they work.

Using up odd lengths of yarn too short for my regular kits is a great way for me to reduce waste while offering you a saving!

• 6-page fully-illustrated pattern printed on recycled paper
• organic cotton yarn
• 100% natural British sheep’s wool stuffing
• 3.5mm bamboo crochet hook (optional)
• blunt-tipped yarn needle
• gift tag up-cycled from cereal packets, greetings cards, etc

The pattern is worked with a 3.5mm (E-4) crochet hook (or the size you need to make a compact crochet fabric with the given yarn). I offer lovely bamboo crochet hooks by Pony if you would like to try one.

The finished fruit are approximately 5.5cm in diameter.

The kit contents and packaging is plastic-free and aims to be as eco-friendly as I can possibly make it:

• box – 70% recycled, reusable and recyclable.
• ball bands, box labels – 100% recycled paper, recyclable.
• pattern – 100% recycled paper, recyclable.
• tissue – 100% recycled, recyclable.
• business cards, tags, etc – handmade from greeting cards, cereal packets, etc, recyclable.

The carded wool stuffing is a natural product. It is scoured and clean, but may still include the odd bit of straw or leaf.

🟩 These patterns are suitable for those just beginning to crochet however, this ‘seconds’ kit will require you to make a number of extra joins. This is excellent practice at joining whilst keeping your tension and stitches even, but if you think this might be difficult for you, my standard Apple and Pear Crochet Kit will be more suitable.
