Time for an update on my granny stripe blanket!
The guys over at LoveCrochet are celebrating the talents of small and independent designers like myself throughout the month of June, and I have joined them to offer special discounts on selected patterns.
Yesterday I was on duty as a poll clerk for local County Council elections. Very sadly, turnout was poor, which meant I had time to crochet. I could even have done more only I ran out of wool…
I’m really glad I created this dashboard for my crochet granny stripe blanket, it is definitely inspiring me to keep going!
Previously, if I thought I didn’t have time to work on the blanket for very long, I wouldn’t get it out, but now I can see that even crocheting half row a day still adds up!
I’ve decided I really need to knuckle down on the granny stripe blanket I’m crocheting for my eldest child. Our budget should allow for me to get the wool I need for now – bearing in mind this thing is (had better be) a genuine heirloom to last the kiddo a lifetime. But several of the colours I’m using are already discontinued, meaning if I leave it much longer I’m going to be in real trouble.
So, I’m taking my granny stripe blanket properly in hand and am going to Get On With It.
Crochet Dreams, my new colouring book for crochet lovers will be available to buy tomorrow!
I am both very excited about the launch, and overwhelmed with the number of reservations and enquiries I have already received! I’ve never done anything like this before, and my head is going to be spinning for at least a week.
My new crochet colouring book is perfect if you sometimes lack confidence choosing your yarn colours.
We are all in awe of the talented Lucy of Attic24’s colour sense, but if you’re like me, finally deciding on the perfect colour combination for a large project like a blanket can be a bit nerve-wracking!
