Textured Washcloth Crochet Pattern

If you’re looking for a bit of instant crochet gratification, you can’t beat my textured washcloth pattern! These are quick to make up and feature a pretty stitch that’s fun to work.

This textured washcloth pattern is part of my matching crocheted bathroom set which includes more washcloths, a bath and shower mitt, make-up remover pads and a hand towel.

Pretty new textiles in a fresh colour are a great way to update your bathroom or uplift your mood. These textured washcloths are also lovely to give as gifts perhaps with some handmade soap.

The textured pattern on these washcloths is a variation of a shell stitch which makes it interesting to crochet.

Pattern Details

The finished washcloths are 20cm or 8inches square when worked with a 4.5mm hook and DK (Category 3, light worsted weight) yarn.

A typical 50g ball of cotton yarn will give you plenty of yarn to make one of these washcloths plus some handy reusable face scrubbies/make-up remover pads with what’s left.

The pattern includes a neat edging for a finished look, and an optional sturdy hanging loop.

The 10-page pattern contains lots of clear photographs depicting all the steps, plus helpful tips on choosing a perfect yarn and more.

Like all my crochet patterns, the textured washcloth pattern is available in separate UK and US crochet versions, so no need to perform any mental gymnastics!
