My customers are so clever and often come up with suggestions for kits and ways to use my patterns that I haven’t thought of. This week one customer asked me for a different set of colours in my Eggs Crochet Kit, and I like the result so much, I’m offering it now as an option while stocks last.
You might be surprised to learn my Eggs Crochet Kits sell well in the run up to Christmas! It’s because it’s a brilliant kit for anyone just starting out in crochet. See my Learning to Crochet post for more details on which kits I recommend for beginners.
Eggs are the perfect project for practising key crochet skills used in many more complicated amigurumi crochet patterns, including working in round whilst increasing and decreasing, keeping a dense, even tension, and finishing neatly.
However, the organic cotton in the standard kit is in a typically ‘spring’ colour palette, so when one of my customers asked for a more autumnal palette this week, I was very happy to oblige.
These are the colours I chose from my range of organic cotton yarn, and I love them so much, I’ve decided to offer it as an option to all customers!
Aren’t they gorgeous together? They definitely have an autumnal vibe, but at the same time I don’t think they’d be at all out of place in spring.
Some of these are colours I regularly offer in my Linked Rings Crochet Kit, but others I only have in very limited amounts since they have been discontinued by the manufacturer. So it’s first come, first served while stocks last!
If you have any other colour requests for your own bespoke set of eggs, do get in touch and I’ll see what I can do!
All my crochet kits also contain helpful information on how to source the perfect yarn to make more items once the contents of the kit are used.
