Today I have a really sweet little crochet project for you, that’s perfect if you need a break between larger projects and is also a great way to use up some yarn oddments.
This is my Cottage Keychain Crochet Pattern.

This pattern was originally published a few years back in Issue 40 of the (now discontinued) Kindred Stitches Magazine
Since then I’ve made quite a few for sale as finished items in a variety of colour combinations according to customer requests. Making these little cottages in a range of colours is a great way to distinguish sets of keys for family members, for example, or even hotel room keys.
I call this a key fob, but this pattern also makes a sweet hanging ornament – how about making it as a decoration for someone celebrating their first Christmas in a new home? You could even personalise it with names or a date on the back.
You only need a very small quantity of yarn in four colours, so you likely have everything you need to complete this project already at home, and it should take you under an hour.
