Today I have a really sweet little crochet project for you, that’s perfect if you need a break between larger projects and is also a great way to use up some yarn oddments.
This is my Cottage Key Ring Crochet Pattern.

This pattern was originally published a few years back in Issue 40 of the (now discontinued) Kindred Stitches Magazine
Since then I’ve made quite a few for sale as finished items in a variety of colour combinations according to customer requests. Making these little cottages in a range of colours is a great way to distinguish sets of keys for family members, for example, or even hotel room keys.
I call this a key ring or key fob, but this pattern also makes a sweet hanging ornament. How about making it as a decoration for someone celebrating their first Christmas in a new home? You could even personalise it with names or a date on the back.
You only need a very small quantity of yarn in four colours to complete this key ring, so you likely have everything you need to complete this project already at home, and it should take you under an hour.
