Spring Twig Tree Ornament Crochet Pattern

Spring Ornament Crochet Pattern

This week it has been unusually warm and springlike in my part of the UK, and the sunshine has enabled me to take some more photos of some of my spring designs.

My versatile Christmas Ornament Crochet Pattern has always been popular, but I wanted to make it easier to visualise as a Spring Ornament Crochet Pattern too, so I’ve made some new models.

In pastel colours with white contrast motifs, these make pretty decorations for a spring or Easter tree.

The pattern includes details on how to create your own designs for the central panel. You could make the contrast patterns in a darker colour on a light background or vice versa.

The designs are simpler than you might think to create, only using double crochet [US: single crochet] and it’s decrease dc2tog [US: sc2tog]. However, the pattern includes a tutorial on making the ‘invisible’ decrease that’s a great trick to learn to improve the look of your 3D and amigurumi projects.

The pattern also includes a tutorial on the correct way to change colours to achieve a neat result.

As always, UK and US crochet versions of the pattern are available in two completely separate documents so you can choose whichever you prefer to use without having the other getting in the way.
