As promised, I have a few more additions to my Pumpkin and Gourd Series of crochet pattens on the way in time for autumn. Here’s the latest, my Acorn Squash Crochet Pattern.
Scroll down for the links to download this pattern.
This pattern makes a sweet little acorn squash, with or without the intriguing little splodge that sometimes adorns them.
Using DK (light worsted weight, Category 3) yarn and a 3.5mm (US size E-4) crochet hook these pumpkins are approximately 7cm long and 20cm in circumference. But you can choose a different weight yarn and appropriate hook to make larger or smaller squashes.
The pattern includes notes on how to vary the pattern so that if you are making several, the shape of the squash and splodge are not always the same.
These acorn squashes make a lovely complement to my other gourds and pumpkins if you are crocheting a set.
As always, the detailed pattern is available in both UK-metric and US-imperial versions, and is fully-illustrated with colour photos.
Don’t forget you can order all my crochet patterns printed and gift-boxed, and these make lovely, easy-to-post gifts for crafty friends:
