Eco-friendly Linked Ring Toy Crochet Kit

Eco-friendly crochet kit to make a tactile toy for a young child in the form of two linked rings.

This beautifully-presented DIY kit contains everything you need to make the rings:

• a fully-illustrated crochet pattern (UK or US versions available)
• organic cotton yarn in four colours of your choice
• stuffing
• 3.5mm bamboo crochet hook (optional)
• blunt-tipped yarn needle
• gift tag up-cycled from a cereal packet with recycled cotton tie

The pattern is worked with a 3.5mm (US: E-4) crochet hook (or the size you need to make a compact crochet fabric with the included yarn). I offer lovely bamboo crochet hooks by Pony if you don’t have one or are giving the kit as a gift.

The kit is available with your choice of stuffing: machine-washable 100% recycled polyester or natural carded wool. The wool stuffing is a natural product. It is scoured and clean but may still include the odd bit of straw or leaf. If you choose the wool version, your rings can be gently soaked to clean.

The finished rings are each approximately 9cm in diameter.

The linked ring toy crochet kit is designed to be as low-impact/sustainable as I can possibly make it, and is beautifully presented, so it also makes a great gift for a crafty and/or eco-minded new parent. With the natural wool stuffing, this kit is plastic-free.

Choose the colours for your rings using the drop-lists above. If you’d like a different combination of the colours shown for your kit, just ask and I’ll see what I can do.

Select either natural wool or synthetic stuffing.

You can choose to include the lovely bamboo crochet hook in the size required if you don’t have one or are giving the kit as a gift.

Choose whether you’d prefer the UK or US crochet version of the pattern – if you’re not sure, just ask and I’ll help you choose.

Choose whether you would prefer your pattern printed of 100% recycled paper and included in the kit, or e-mailed to you as a digital file (PDF) for use on your mobile, tablet, e-reader, etc.
