Here are my current recommended last ordering dates for delivery by Christmas 2025, including details about international delivery.
You never know what is around the corner with adverse weather conditions, etc, so you would be well advised to place any orders as early as possible, to avoid possible disappointment. None of my items is perishable, after all, and they will all happily store (in a dry environment) until the big day!
UK Customers
If you order by the date given below for the item(s) you are ordering, I will have your parcel in the post by the Royal Mail’s last recommended posting date for delivery by Christmas.
The services I use are not guaranteed services. If a fixed delivery date is really important to you, please contact me and we can look into a guaranteed service.
The dates apply to “close of business” on the given date – which for me is around 8pm UK time.

International Customers
For the first time in my lifetime, this year the Royal Mail has not published recommended last posting dates for international parcels. Instead, we have just the usual ‘delivery aim’ and the statement that they “strongly recommend posting as early as possible.” It was never a 100% guarantee that parcels posted by the ‘last recommended posted date’ would arrive before Christmas, but it was at least a guideline I could pass on to my customers.
All I can do this year therefore is to pass this information on to you, and urge you to please, please order earlier than you think you might have to.
This will unfortunately go unregarded by many people ordering at the last minute, and without reading this information – mainly those with male names – and I will have an interesting Christmas re-explaining this. But this is the landscape in which I have to run my business, so…
You can find the Royal Mail’s recommended ‘delivery aim’ for your country by choosing it here: International Posting Information, and here are some examples:
Royal Mail Example Delivery Aims:
- Switzerland — 3-5 working days (2024 recommendation was 15th December)
- Norway — 3-5 working days (2024 recommendation was 6th December)
- USA — 5-7 working days (2024 recommendation was 12th December)
- Canada — 5-7 working days (2024 recommendation was 12th December)
- Hong Kong — 5-7 working days (2024 recommendation was 15th December)
- Australia & New Zealand — 5-7 working days (2024 recommendation was 6th December)
As you can see in the examples above, in previous years the recommended posting date for Christmas delivery was many days earlier than the ‘delivery aim’ would suggest.
Don’t forget to take into account my processing times.
Processing time (the time it takes me to make, package and post your item) is clearly stated on every listing here on my website and on Etsy. This is of course in addition to the delivery time.
If you’re in the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand and would like to take advantage of an economy postage offer (untracked) please contact me.
Please read my specific information on International Deliveries. Please also always read my full Terms and Conditions.
If you are waiting for a parcel, please take the following steps before contacting me:
- Use the tracking information that I provide on all my international parcels to see the progress of your parcel.
- Refer to the Royal Mail’s information to see how long parcels may take to be delivered before being considered lost.
- Please see the Royal Mail’s International Service Update which covers things such as adverse weather conditions and strikes which might be having an impact on deliveries.
- Read my full Terms and Conditions for reassurance about returns and refunds.

Don’t forget, I can always ship directly to your recipient to save time, and can include eco-friendly gift wrapping on most items.
If you’d still like to order early in this case, I can mark the parcels “Don’t open until Christmas” on the outside, if you let me know during the checkout process.
If you are not ordering for Christmas, that’s absolutely fine: please place your order as normal. I will process your order in the timescale stated on each listing, but note that I will not be posting any items between 21st December 2025 and 4th January 2026 inclusive. The Royal Mail’s delivery schedule will also be affected by the Christmas and New Year Bank Holidays.
