Pear Ornament – Deep Red

Hand-crocheted deep red pear Christmas ornament.

This gorgeous wine-red pear ornament has a subtle sheen and lively variations in shade. It looks amazing against dark foliage or on a twig tree. Ideal also for a garnet or ruby wedding anniversary, or for birthdays in January (garnet) or July (ruby).

The pear is made in silky bamboo yarn, hand-dyed and balled by women in an economically deprived region of South Africa, providing much-needed employment and empowerment. It is filled with 100% natural sheep’s wool stuffing.

The pear is around 5cm (2inches) in diameter, with a generous, dark brown hanging loop.
