I’m really glad I created this dashboard for my crochet granny stripe blanket, it is definitely inspiring me to keep going!
Previously, if I thought I didn’t have time to work on the blanket for very long, I wouldn’t get it out, but now I can see that even crocheting half row a day still adds up!
I’ve decided I really need to knuckle down on the granny stripe blanket I’m crocheting for my eldest child. Our budget should allow for me to get the wool I need for now – bearing in mind this thing is (had better be) a genuine heirloom to last the kiddo a lifetime. But several of the colours I’m using are already discontinued, meaning if I leave it much longer I’m going to be in real trouble.
So, I’m taking my granny stripe blanket properly in hand and am going to Get On With It.
A recent thread on Twitter caused me the sudden and urgent desire to dig out my fountain pens. I suddenly remembered how much I used to enjoy writing – not just what I was writing, but how, the physical process and the mechanics of the pens. Writing is still an essential daily part of my sanity, and it occurred to me that maybe I’m missing something in in settling for whatever biro I can lay my hands on that probably came free in a charity envelope.
Those of you who have followed Little Conkers for a while will know that I have quite a history with crocheted veg, both ginormous and life-sized. So finally, of course, I had to make some mini crochet vegetables!
