Well, the sleeves are now set in! It almost looks like a jumper now, there’s just the collar to tackle, but I’m waiting for a quiet, childless moment when I don’t have anything else to do (!) to pick up the large number of stitches required around the neck opening without loosing count.
Today I’m revealing a new crochet pattern for these very pleasing inter-linked rings, and in addition to just the pattern, I have also created a complete kit to make it super-easy for you to run these up.

I always knew the world wasn’t perfect, there was much still to fight for, but I didn’t think we would actually start going backwards towards more intolerance, more inequality, less acceptance of scientific fact.
Time for a quick update on progress with my jumper!
I’m knitting a jumper from the DROPS Design Ginny pattern and I’m now on Round 77, which considering the last few weeks are the busiest of the year for me, counts as formidable progress.
We’re doing something extra every day after opening our Advent calendar window this year. We’re putting an item of food into a box for our local food bank, and then at Christmas we’ll take the whole box along to our local food bank in Horsham to donate it.
More new additions to my shop this week! These little trees are now rivalling my pinecones as my favourite things to make. It’s far too early for real Christmas trees (we’re a week-before-Christmas family) but I’ve had such a lot of fun decorating these tiny treasures.
I decided it was time to address the elephant in the corner of the room. Well, the unfinished project in the bag in the corner of the room. There are about 150 projects I want to make for friends and family for Christmas, but my guilt won’t let me, till I’ve sorted out this out. (more…)
